A recognised Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety (SAMTRAC / NEBOSH) with a minimum of 5 years’ experience on a construction site; or
A recognised Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety with a minimum of 3 years’ experience on a construction site,
Registered with SACPCMP as a Construction Health and Safety Officer (CHSO)
Valid driver's license (essential)

Diploma (NQF 6) in Finance or Accounting related field with at least 1 year of relevant experience.

Perform GMR2 functions as per legal requirements
Operation of electrical systems and switchgear of high-voltage systems (11 kV)
Maintenance of electrical power plants and large UPS systems up to 8 MVA
Manage operational safety of all electrical systems
Training and development of electrical trainees and apprentices
Maintain all electrical repair & maintenance records, specifications of installed electrical equipment and electrical test reports.

Grade 12 / Senior Certificate
NTC 4/ NQF 5 or equivalent
Qualified Fitter and Turner with Trade Test Certificate
Total of 8 years’ experience as a Fitter and Turner of which 3 must be Foreman/Supervisory position.

Diploma (NQF 6) (+9 years’ experience) in supply chain management, logistics, transportation management, or similar equivalent qualification, or
Degree (+7 years’ experience) in supply chain management, logistics, transportation management, or similar equivalent qualification, or
Masters’ Degree (+5 years’ experience) in supply chain management, logistics, transportation management, or similar equivalent qualification

National Diploma in the relevant field (Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental or Quality)
SACPCMP registered Professional Construction Health & Safety agent (PrCHSA)
NEBOSCH certification (advantageous)
Valid Driver’s License
8 years’ experience as a SHEQ Officer of which 3 years to be in a supervisory/management capacity preferably in engineering project, operations, construction, infrastructure, design and development environment
Audit and implementation competency of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
Computer literate in MS Office (Power Point Presentation, Excel, Word, etc)

Ensuring the appropriate specification, system design, development, deployment and operation of integrated RFI monitoring systems
Performing analysis of RFI measurement data with the aim of predicting the impact of RFI on various telescopes
Establishment and adoption of standards for good RFI measurement practice and data analysis methodologies, and ensuring the implementation thereof
Managing the execution of RFI measurement campaigns
Managing review of contractor EMC plans
Leading the RFI engineering team
Mentorship of young professionals

Communication and Public Relations Strategic Management

Formulate long term strategic communications plans and provide overall editorial control for communications ensuring appropriate content, tone and consistency across the NRF
Advise on methods to enhance communication and influence the building of positive relationships with the media and other stakeholders
Formulate strategic management of communication and other communications products.
Provides clear communication protocols, guidelines and interfaces on areas of corporate communication, science communication and Stakeholder Engagement, working with Specialists and Leads in the specific area.
Project manage high profile ‘change’ management programs and supports the executives in the packaging and presentation of sensitive information during change processes (provision of change communication strategies and tactics).
Develop and manage the crisis communication strategy, presenting and drafting statements and briefings for the media, Managing Directors, Corporate Executives and NRF Board, where necessary.
Develops, implements, revises, and reviews a range of communications associated policies with implementation plans on behalf of the NRF.
Develops the NRF digital communication strategy and plans.

Communications

Oversees the NRF Communication across all platforms and ensures capacity within the business units.
Development of internal communication tools to communicate with NRF stakeholders.
Assist with ad hoc hosting of programs and related events co-ordination.
Provide support of the communication needs for the CEO’s Office and other NRF business units.
Responsible for providing and facilitating media training for NRF Managing Directors and Corporate Executives .
Oversee media monitoring including evaluation of communication tools/products and liaising with all business units on media monitoring related issues.
Write and oversee writing of speeches for NRF Managing Directors, Corporate Executive and the Board as and when required.

Public Relations and Outreach

In collaboration with various specialists and Leads at Business Units and Divisions effect proactive management of media relations and media coverage to strengthen the reputation of the NRF, improving brand awareness, nationally and internationally.
Act as a NRF spokesperson and liaise with journalists on high profile, complex issues.
Identify the publicity/news value of NRF achievements/operational developments and promote them accordingly.
Systematically monitor, audit, and interpret broadcast, print and social media for the NRF.
Develop and manage high level communication networking and engagement programmes to enhance and demonstrate the NRF as a good corporate citizen.
Develop and manage advertising and communication programs and campaigns.
Develop an NRF Public Outreach framework and performance standards .
Socialises the framework across the business units and divisions • Monitor and assess impact of the NRF public outreach initiatives.
Oversee the production of publications such as newsletters and leaflets etc, and provide support for the production of Annual Reports.
Oversee the compilation and management of Public Relations and Communications Database e.g. media contacts and other stakeholders in partnership with relevant NRF business units.
Work in partnership with the Business Advancement directorate in production of public relations and marketing products.
Provides stakeholder management framework and guidelines across the NRF.

Social media and Web

Create and oversee the implementation of social media strategy and policy, coordinating with stakeholders across the NRF to ensure its effectiveness and ensure the adoption of relevant social media techniques into the corporate culture.
Oversee the development, maintenance, and updating of the external website, including production of web content, in a manner that is appealing to targeted audience.
Review brand development and create clear brand messages which can be applied across all social media campaigns.
Responsible for the digital content creation and management (provides editorial and ensures alignment across NRF).
Management of the Communication and Public Relations function.
Effectively manage the budget and the performance of the Communications team.
Establish and maintain relationships – both formal and informal – with key public and private stakeholders and the media, at all levels.
