• MSc in human genetics, infectious diseases, or a related field;
• Good Clinical Practice training;

• Willingness to travel within South Africa at least four times a year for at least two weeks at a time;

• Experience in recruiting research participants, collecting saliva samples and performing DNA extractions in a laboratory;

• Demonstrated knowledge of field-based geohydrology, groundwater exploration and/or groundwater numerical modelling;
• A record of active research and research dissemination, e.g., through presentations at conferences;
• Experience with groundwater modelling software such as, MODFLOW, MODPATH, FEFLOW, or finite element/finite difference modelling methods.

Requirements:-

• Collecting and corresponding with specific outstanding debtors of the University
• Handling of internal and external debtor related enquiries
• Providing assistance to internal staff regarding the generation of invoices
• Liaising with other support and academic divisions within the University as well as with external institutions; ·
• Reconciliation of payments and following up about outstanding invoices;
• Payment and initiation of follow-up actions for outstanding debtors;
• Implementing payment arrangements;
• Creating requests for credit notes and processing it once it has been authorised;
• Completing bank transactions related to debtors;
• Monitoring daily direct deposits and allocating it to the relevant debtor account;
• Performing ad hoc tasks as operationally required.

Requirements:-

• An appropriate Master's degree (i.e. in Psychology or Industrial Psychology) awarded by a recognised university;
• Evidence of exposure to active scholarship, together with the potential to develop;
• Relevant professional experience that includes a sound knowledge of recruitment, career development and the talent management industry and its processes;
• Registration as an Industrial Psychologist;
• Quantitative and qualitative evidence of teaching experience;
• Excellent communication skills and sound interpersonal skills;
• The ability to take initiative and manage projects;
• Computer proficiency.

Requirements:-

• Supporting the CTL Director with the overall values-driven leadership, strategic planning and management of the Centre to enhance teaching-learning-assessment in line with the DLTE priorities, as well as the strategic goals, intent and vision of the University;
• Fostering collaborative activities between the CTL and other Centres in the DLTE, as well as the Faculties and other relevant support divisions to implement the Teaching-Learning-Assessment and other relevant SU Policies;
• Supporting the CTL Director with the effective human resource management of CTL, including the line management of staff, the development of a personnel plan, the appointment of staff, employee performance management, as well as professional learning of staff;
• Shared responsibility for daily operational management within the CTL.

• Reporting to the project coordinator for delegated duties;
• Ensuring the smooth running of and complete sample and data collection from participants supervised by the study coordinator;

  • Providing technical support to staff and postgraduate students in particularly the Mathematical Sciences, Physics and Bioinformatics;
  • Carrying out administrative tasks as required;
  • Proactively identifying potential problems and finding solutions.

Requirements:-

• SAMTRAC/NEBOSCH certificate;
• Three years' experience in implementing and managing safety functions and programmes;
• Sound knowledge of construction safety requirements;
• Sound knowledge of safety legislation, policies, and procedures;
• The ability to work independently within the scope of the position.
