Requirements:-

• Facilitate teaching and learning to undergraduate and Honours Biological Sciences modules.
• Conduct research and supervise postgraduate students in areas of Ethnobotany and Plant Ecology.
• Conduct practicals and mark the reports thereof. 
• Conduct formative and summative assessment of students.
•  Review allocated modules and participate in programmes reviews of the department.
• Assist in identification of students at risk.
• Participate in community mounted research projects.
•  Participate in departmental and faculty meetings as well as representing department in institutional committees.

•  Installs, configures, and upgrades operating systems and software on all tablet Pcs and other networked computers.
• Installs and configures PCs and peripherals such as printer and scanners as required for new installations.
• Assist users in the use of standard software including, but not limited to; anti-virus software, O365.
• Supervises service desk team and IT technicians. Contributes to the development, implementation and review of service desk related policies and processes.
• Implement departmental policies and standards and ensuring adherence to all security procedures. Provide advice, assistance, and training to IT users in matters that are technical in nature.

Requirements:-

• Work closely with other IT specialists to setup, maintain and monitor database.
• Activate and deactivate database accounts in order to monitor access to organization employees.
• Design and implement database according to the end user’s information needs and views.
• Minimize database downtime and manage parameters to provide fast queries responses.
• Monitor the database performance, implement changes and apply new patches when required.
• Provide proactive and reactive data management support and training to users.
• Perform tests and evaluation regularly to ensure data security, privacy and integrity.
• Use high speed transaction recovery techniques to backup data.
• Determine, enforce and document database policies, procedures and standards

Requirements:-

• Master of Arts in Indigenous Knowledge Systems and Heritage Studies / African Studies.
• At least three years’ experience at a tertiary Institution or five years’ professional experience in the relevant field.
• Publication in a peer -review journal will be a strong recommendation.

Requirements:-

• ICT security specialist manages and secure information systems for both staff and students. By monitoring, detecting, investigating, analyzing, and responding to security events, security specialist protects systems from cybersecurity risks, threats, and vulnerabilities.
• Plan, Organise and Safeguards information system assets by identifying and solving potential and actual security problems.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of security monitoring and incident response processes and solutions as required to support our cyber security program.

Requirements:-

• Identify and implement effective debtor’s collection strategies

  Implement a debtor’s collection plan to ensure reasonable debtors balance at year end

  Perform IFRS calculations where receivables is concerned e.g IFRS 9 and 15 compliance requirement

  Develop a collection end to end process for implementation

Requirements:-

• To provide a comprehensive legal consultation and advice service on all legal aspects affecting the University of Venda.
• Minimise all aspects of risk emanating from legal processes including ligation for or against the University.

Requirements:-

• To raise the level of competence in the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) for teaching and learning among staff and students. Facilitating and co-ordinating the provision of departmental requests for special ICT programmes. Identifying and developing appropriate opportunities across the curriculum where ICT can enrich teaching and learning. Keeping abreast of new technological developments and new government initiatives in ICT in higher education. Participate in the running of the online testing and examination centre.

Requirements:-

• Academic route: • Doctoral degree in Law. Professional route: • A Master of Laws Degree • Admission as an Attorney or Advocate coupled with ten years' practice experience. Candidates appointed through the professional route will be appointed on a five-year contract basis with the provision that the appointment will be converted to permanent upon attainment of a Doctoral degree within the five-year period of appointment.
